Last year, we did a couple of reviews with Ryzen 3, 5, 7 series on Gigabyte and Asrock boards. If you remember the Ryzen’s aren’t that overclockable, most of them can probably give you a gain of around 200 MHz at most 300 MHz to it’s original speed.
With the release of the Ryzen 5 2400G, things might be changing for the better. This new processor is part of the Raven Ridge although still belongs to 1st generation Ryzen, it seems that it is easily overclockable compared to it’s predecessors launched last year.
In our test, the Ryzen 5 2400G is overclocked by just moving the multiplier to 40X and the GPU Clk is set higher to 1550 MHz. The ram module used is G.Skill DDR4-3200 which works in XMP/AMP mode of CAS 14,16, 16, 1T. Voltage levels are 1.25v for CPU. AMD Original heatsink is used in the test.
