Following the passing of Jiang Zemin, the former General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, the launch of the Xiaomi 13 series was delayed. Even though the smartphone manufacturer hasn’t yet disclosed a new launch date, online merchants are starting to take pre orders.
Despite the fact that the phones are unofficial, news outlets said that pre-orders for the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro can be pre ordered and some customers have even paid the CNY999 ($142) deposit.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro, which reportedly has a 50 MP main camera and a 1″ Sony IMX989 sensor under the lens, is the rumored replacement for the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 13 is billed as an inexpensive and small flagship with a narrow bezel, a flat OLED on the front, and flat sides.
One source claims that the Xiaomi 13 will be a tiny bit larger than the Xiaomi 12, just by a few millimeters. Its dimensions are 152.8 x 71.5 x 7.98/8.1 mm, and its weight is 189/185 grams, depending on whether the panel is made of imitation leather or glass.
According to reports, the Xiaomi 13 Pro measures 163.7 x 74.6 x 8.4/8.7 mm and weighs 229/210 grams. The heavier but thinner variant has a ceramic back, while the latter option is leather once more.
