Huawei cut price of Honor C to RMB 799 in a price war with Xiaomi mi 4
If you have been following the news on the Xiaomi saga, they are really out of luck this month. They were first caught for faking sales figures in Taiwan and was fined. They were later caught for privacy issues of their phones by F-Secure. 2 days ago, Taiwan and Singapore authorities are investigating them for the same privacy issues.
Huawei, it’s competitor in China has just slashed it’s pricing of the Honor 3C 4G from 998 RMB to 799 RMB from Aug 12 undercutting Xiaomi Mi4 4G at 999 RMB. Huawei Honor C 4G is based on Kirin chipset A9. It scores 22000 and has a 5 inches LTPS HD screen display. It has 36 hours of talk time. The Huawei Honor C seems to have a better cost/performance ratio than the XiaoMi. One must be wondering if this price war expand to other regions? In fact, other manufacturers like Samsung are feeling the heat and they would be launching cheaper and better specifications phone to retain their top ranking.
