Singapore, 25 July 2012 – Singapore’s widest collection of High Definition (HD) pay TV channels just got even bigger and better with StarHub’s addition of Ginx (HD) and Travel Channel HD to the Basic HD Upsize Group. From 30 July 2012, the two brand new channels will be added to the Group, bringing StarHub’s total number of HD channels to 28, with 19 channels in the Basic HD Upsize category.
Both channels will also be available on the go through StarHub’s TV Anywhere 1 value-added service. Upon opting in to TV Anywhere 1, customers can watch the channels on starhubtv.com via any Internet-enabled PC, Mac, iPad or tablet anytime, anywhere. Customers can also tune in to both channels on-the-go as they will be made available to StarHub Mobile Customers on Mobile TV.

Ginx (HD) (StarHub TV Channel 475)
Available in HD for the first time in Asia on StarHub TV, Ginx (HD) is the first international TV channel dedicated to video games and the gaming world. With a programming slate containing 14 original series, Ginx (HD) provides round-the-clock access to entertaining shows including game reviews, news and information, all delivered with its signature blend of expertise and humour.
Ginx (HD)’s key programmes include The Blurb, a weekly round-up of the very best video game news from the biggest events on the gaming calendar; Culture Shock!, where each episode takes the latest gaming topic and follows its popular culture links through music, film, TV and comic books; and Planet of the Apps, a programme committed to helping viewers navigate through the thousands of apps in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Essential programming includes shows such as World’s Greatest Motorcycle Rides, Travel Today, Cruise Today, Planet Sports, and Inside Luxury Travel. For viewers without HD set-top boxes, selected programmes from Travel Channel HD in standard definition will soon be made available to them on Video On Demand, in which they can access by pressing the VOD button on the remote control, or via internet TV on starhubtv.com.

Ginx (HD) and Travel Channel HD will be part of the Lifestyle Basic Upsize category on the Basic HD Upsize Group. Lifestyle Basic Upsize customers who have subscribed to Basic HD Upsize Group can enjoy these two new HD channels at no additional costs.
New customers can sign up for the Basic HD Upsize Group with a monthly subscription of $8.56 (including GST). From now to 31 August 2012, customers who sign up for the Basic HD Upsize Group will enjoy a 50% off their monthly Group subscription for 12 months.
