HBO and Cinemax were launched on Amazon Prime, which means you can now view old and new episodes of “Game of Thrones” or “Westworld” right on one channel.

“The HBO subscription on Amazon Channels lets Prime members stream HBO whenever they want – without the need for a cable subscription,” the press statement said.

According to readers who have tested it, you do not need to reside in the USA to enjoy this service. No VPN is required too.

“Prime members receive a 30-day free trial and then pay $14.99 per month thereafter. HBO – including series, original films, miniseries, sports, documentaries, specials and a wide selection of blockbuster movies – is available to stream today.”

You do need to pay an extra $9.99 for Cinemax right after the 30-day free trial.

With the HBO and Cinemax launch on Amazon Prime, you can enjoy award-winning shows such as “Silicon Valley,” “Divorce,” “Insecure,” “Banshee,” “Outcast,” “The Knick,” “Quarry,” and “Strike Back.”

Sofia Chang, executive vice president at HBO Worldwide Digital Distribution, said that Amazon is a proven commodity when it comes to delivering content to its subscribers.

“We have a very successful partnership with this great company that continues to evolve,” she said. “We share the goal of providing Amazon customers more ways to access all of the high-quality HBO and Cinemax programming they’ve been asking for.”

Meanwhile, Amazon Digital Video VP Michael Paull said the partnership is groundbreaking considering that it now gives their subscribers more options, particularly if they don’t have cable.

“We’re thrilled to work with HBO to bring their cutting-edge content to Amazon Prime members with Amazon Channels,” he added.

The HBO and Cinemax launch on Amazon Prime also means you can watch blockbuster movies and also the full lineup of the two networks without the need to subscribe to a cable service.
