Circles.life just launched their latest eSIM based data roam package for all subscribers and non subscribers.

It is pretty cheap and is now offering 3 plans and offer data roaming in 50 popular destinations.

Unbeatable: 20GB for $20

Stay connected in over 50+ destinations, and roll over excess GBs to your next trip.

Stack $20 in Expedia hotel credits every month to use anytime. Plus, unlimited lounge access for flight delays.

As it is a data roam, there is no number associated with roaming. You can’t SMS or make voice calls. Of course, you can still use WhatsApp or Telegram to make calls over data.

How to configure the data roaming based on destination

To most consumers, data roaming should just work upon arrival at the destination by turning on the data roam switch on the handset.

This is usually the case but if there are connection issues, it is always good to be able to troubleshoot.

Using a eSIM solution, it will only work on the following devices

Once you receive the eSIM and installed it onto the smartphone, you still need to do some configuration before you roam. As roaming technology is based on multiple IMSI technology, that means one eSIM can have multiple identities.

Roaming implemented this way is cheaper as it taps into the local network like a local sim. Thus, you would need to check this list for the country you wish to roam in with it’s corresponding IMSI. Take note of the IMSI number.

Most countries/regions in Asia are tagged to IMSI 26 while European countries are either using IMSI of 25 and 4 others tagged to IMSI of 7, you will need that for the SIM card manager (android) or SIM application (iPhone).

IMSI 26 uses Hong Kong’s CSL roaming network.

Once you find out the IMSI number,

  • For iOS users, go to Settings > Mobile Data > Jetpac ESIM Data Line > SIM applications > Country (choose the country you’re in) > Mode > Select Manual and choose the correct IMSI based on table above.
  • For Android users, go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager > Select eSIM > Exit settings and go to SIM toolkit and choose the correct IMSI based on the table above.

Once that is done,
1. Toggle on the Jetpac eSIM data plan for Mobile Data

2. Turn on “Data Roaming” for the Jetpac eSIM data plan

3. To change the network, go to the phone settings > Jetpac ESIM data line and manually choose a different network in the country ( some countries have 2 different operators)

4. If everything is in order, you should see the Signal Bar of the roaming network. If not reboot and recheck and verify the steps above and check again if you can connect to the roaming operator.

5. If you are connected with data roaming on and you can’t surf the web (no data), go into network settings and change your default APN to either mobile, internet or plus depending on the global roaming network based on IMSI selected (there are 3 different global roaming operators).

APN NAME : jetpac

Enjoy your data roaming.
